If you are a serious blogger, you might think of getting an ISSN number for your blog from the National Library of Australia. You can apply online and it is free.

There are realy good reasons about why you might need it here. There is also a "Compatibility of Weblogs and ISSN" document which you might need to read.

I think the biggest benefit is getting archived by the Pandora database.

What a shame. The New Zealand Nationa library declined my application. I don't think they are there yet...

Mine is also rejected. Here is the reply from ANL:

Thank you for your ISSN application. We do not assign ISSNs to the following online resources: personal or organisational homepages, advertising sites, weblogs and/or diaries.
